Just what everyone hates, moving. I needed to move the tools shelves in the house side, so I could finish the taping the wall. We also wanted to move them to the boat house so we can finish the wall to the north and south. Those will be frame with 2x6s and install windows in them. the building does not have any windows. Funny I don't notice it. It must be because of the height of the roof.
I took my chances wiring the new wall myself. I have watched a lot of electricains but I really don't like to do it myself. So I took it on before my Bloody Mary. I was successful it works. the wall outlets and switches for the celing fans all worked. first time. Diane said I did such a good job that my reward would be a new Gold Wing!!!
Do you think she was kidding? We will see.

taping the wall and osb
I can see the end of the work on the wall. I applied the first coat of mud and tape then hung osb on the boat side. This sure makes a differance in the insulation and the strenght of the wall.
Sunday I started the combining of two single doors making a French door that will be between the boats and the living room. they came out good. Just need to install door handles and trim out.

Sheet rocking the wall
The wall is comming along fine. But my back from the weight of the drywall is sore. I hired a local to help with this part, He worked hard and we got this done in about 4 hours.
we have a plan to put two 36 inch man doors togrther and make our own "French" door out of them. Reason is I have several from the office remodel to use.
That will leave a nice big access for moving in and out things liks BBQ, tables etc.
I have some screws to put in then I will start to frame the side walls and insert windows. This is really like building a house backwards. Oh well I have to do everything twice. Copper is hanging around the place, I have not had to go retrieve him yet. I am sure he will start to wander as he grows.

the wall insulation
These are the rest of the wall insulation pictures from OR we will be covering with OSB board and painting next weekend
inside "THE WALL"
We were cold. The building is nice in the summer but the winter months it is drafty. We hatched a plan to wall off the boats and insulate the living space. Imagine that, it is just like a house. Here are the last couple week of construction pictures. This week we will finish the doors and hang OSB just like we did in the loft.
